Rule #1: enjoy the little things in life.

"I am a jumble of passions, misgivings & wants. It seems that I am always in a state of wishing & rarely in a state of contentment."-Libba Bray

New Start.

Starting to notice that I definitely tend to reblog one of the following: (1) cute things- animals, babies, etc., (2) floral things, (3) classy/elegant things, and (4) meaningful quotes. Rarely do I write. At this point, I’m pretty sure that I’m just lazy. That being said, one of my New Year Resolutions was actually to write more so that I don’t forget everything in my life. This post with henceforth be a bit lengthy as I attempt to cram all the major highlights of my life these past few weeks together.

Tahoe Trip #1: Went with Anhang, Lydia, Michelle, Lanssie, Carson, and Tony. We spent the first day at Reno eating pho and playing games at Circus Circus. On the second day we went to Mt. Rose from noon-4. Anhang taught me how to ski! Although at first I was reluctant and scared to learn, it was surprisingly fun and not too terribly difficult. The fun day was concluded with an all you can eat sushi dinner at Davis before getting back to Berkeley.

Tahoe Trip #2: Went with Anhang and his family (mom, dad, sister). We spend Christmas Eve and Christmas there. It was the first time that I ever got engaged in a family gift exchange process. To be honest, the concept itself was really foreign to me because I’d never opened gifts with my family before. However this made the experience all the more heartwarming and exciting for me because I genuinely felt like I belonged. There was so much laughter and smiling involved. :) I hope I can recreate something similar with my mom and sister next year.

SoCal Trip (SD Wild Animal Park Zoo & Disneyland/ CA Adventures): Went down with Anhang, Lydia, Ivan, and my mom for New Years Eve/New Year. It was more of a double date trip plus mommy, who was hitching a free ride but also fifth wheeling (:P). Nevertheless, it was still really fun cause my mom got along well with the boys, who refer to her as “Mama Han”. All three parks were incredibly exciting to visit, especially because I was with my most favorite people in the world. It reminds me how lucky I am to have them in my life.

New Years Resolutions:

(1) Eat healthy. (already breaking this one with all the chocolate…:( sigh, holidays.)

(2) Be a better sister, daughter, friend, gf.

(3) Raise my GPA. (superduper important…)

(4) Find an internship for summer.

(5) Write more. (think I might start Yelping too since I eat at so many different places)

That’s all for now. Cheers to 2012!
